Summary:
Summer SACC Program to run at Cherokee and Erie Elementary Schools
The program will run June 17, 2024 - August 8, 2024; M-F; 7:000am - 5:30pm, Monday - Thursday
Program will NOT run the week of July 4th
40 hrs/week available in both am and pm shifts - hours vary based on program needs.
Building and shift (am or pm) will be assigned at job offer. Preferences will be considered but not guaranteed.
Duties include:
Review and approve registrations and student schedules in Eleyo.
Coordinate with Lead Director to retain Special Services Paraprofessionals if needed.
Approve schedule changes and drop-ins in Eleyo as needed.
Create program roster spreadsheet and updates as needed, to include medical needs, allergies, special needs, custody agreements, and media release agreements.
Create and maintain class level binders to include attendance list, medical needs, allergy list, special needs and media release lists, emergency procedures, and incident reports.
Create a Summer Success list with schedule of who returns after class.
Creates parent email group and sends group emails regarding program information, as necessary.
Run Outstanding Accounts Reports each day to be assured that families with outstanding accounts do not attend/drop children off.
Regularly check group email box as well as phone messages and respond as needed.
Submit DHS subsidy billing bi-weekly and forwards Statements of Payment to Business Department for reconciliation upon receipt
All Directors are expected to be flexible and share responsibilities. Directors will collaborate with their team to complete all necessary tasks to ensure that the program runs smoothly and will consult with the Lead Director, as necessary.
All staff should greet parents/ children upon arrival and dismissal and address any questions or concerns as well as answer phone and door.
Be aware of outstanding balances so that children with a balance do not attend.
Be aware of student, staffing and program needs, assisting in all areas as necessary, assuring that group counts comply with licensing ratio.
Check Summer Success students in/out of Eleyo.
Sort, bag, and label camp shirts, hand to the parents on first day.
Collect labeled medications with Medical Authorization Forms and record in Medical Binder, and dispense medications as required.
Qualifications:
Must meet one of the following educational requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher in a child-related field
Associate's degree in a child-related field with 480 hours of experience
Montessori credential with 12 semester hours in a child-related field with 480 hours of experience
Michigan school-age credential with 12 semester hours in a child-related field with 480 hours of experience
Child development associate credential with 12 semester hours in a child-related field with 480 hours of experience
60 semester hours of education with 12 semester hours in a child-related field with 720 hours of experience
High school diploma/GED with 6 semester hours in a child-related field with 2,880 hours of experience
Must have at least 2 semester hours in child care administration from an accredited college or university or a minimum of 3.0 CEUs in child care administration.
Must have current certification in infant, child, and adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid.
Must have completed 16 clock hours of annual training.
