Job Purpose
The Human Resources Intern will perform a variety of services as outlined herein and back-up for other areas outlined herein, as well as, policy/procedure interpretation and administration, employee relations, counseling, investigations, FMLA and ADA compliance and record keeping.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities/Deliverables:
* Greet employees, answer employee inquiries and / or refer them to the appropriate person.
* Assist with New Hire Orientation and on-boarding
* Make employee badges
* I-9 entry and compliance
* Update and maintain training documentation within current Training Matrix
* Enter and modify employees in various HR systems
* Create and maintain personnel folders
* Assist with attendance policy
* Conduct interviews for various positions
* Assist HR department with data entry and collection
* Maintain manpower reports
* Maintain emergency contact list
* Provide back-up within the department and perform other duties as assigned
Competencies:
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies and procedure manuals and operating instructions.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Knowledge of HRIS - utilization and management
* Word, Excel, PowerPoint experience is a must
* Ability to maintain composure under various levels of pressures, stress, and fast paced activities
