Job Description:We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Machinist to join our Machine Shop team. The role requires a keen attention to detail, the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, and a commitment to producing high-quality parts and components.Responsibilities
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area. Comply with all company policies and regulations
Able to calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, and monitor machine operations to detect any problems
Responsible for running and performing (but not limited to) the following tasks: milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring
Maintains specifications by observing machine operation, detectingmisprints andadjusting controls
Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet design specifications, using precision measuring instruments
Conducts periodic inspections of various aspects of the manufacturing process such as, but not limited to assembly, welding, and machine operations
Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
Able to keep track of production completed on time tickets and ensure that production is completed timely
Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position
Any other tasks assignedBasic Qualifications
High School diploma or GED
Able to read and pass a micrometer testPreferred Qualifications
2+ years' related experience and /or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to multi-task and set priorities
Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and schematics
Ability to use micrometers, dial indicators, calipers etc.
Mechanical aptitude
Detail oriented
Excellent problem-solving skills
Proven traits in dependability and initiative
Strong understanding of machine tools and their operationHourly rate for this position is: $17.50 per hour
