Job Description SummaryThis position will support AAM's communication with shareholders while developing and executing AAM's investor relations program. This includes the support of an effective two-way communication between the investment/financial community and AAM. The Analyst will support numerous senior executives, including the CEO, CFO and Head of Investor Relations, integrating finance, communication, marketing and securities law compliance. This is a high visibility position, interacting with current and prospective shareholders and AAM's C-Suite.
Job Description
Enhance relationships with investors by acting as a liaison to the investment community by the efficient and timely handling of incoming inquiries.
Clearly and accurately communicate AAM's strategy, competitive advantage, technology, financial forecasts and results.
Participate in the development and execution of AAM's investment thesis messaging.
Manage AAM Investor Relations Website.
Work closely with the legal department (internal and external counsel) to ensure all regulatory requirements are met regarding disclosure of financial information and other required public filings.
Responsible for submission of certain SEC 8-K filings related to the disclosure of earnings announcements, regulatory filings and/or other related financial information.
Work closely with corporate accounting and financial reporting to understand key business metrics and trends.
Participate in the development of annual investor relations plan (i.e. events schedule, public earnings release dates, schedule and participate in earnings preparation activities and investor conference calls).
Coordinate aspects of investor relations events (including Equity and Credit conferences, investor visits, analyst days, facility tours, earnings release conference calls and material announcements).
Maintain Investor Relations contact management system tracking/recording all events and communications with investors.
Manage and interact with third-party stock surveillance firm to keep updated on shareholder makeup and activity.
Responsible for Investor Relations reporting to internal key stakeholders.
Analyze, understand, and track analyst reports, earnings estimates and financial models.
Conduct industry research and peer benchmarking, including monthly reporting.
Support achievement of Investor Relations budget.
Assist in the compilation of AAM's Annual Report.
Assist in coordinating and preparing for the Annual Stockholder Meeting.
Manage SOX for the team.
Conduct special projects.
Perform a vast array of additional duties as required to meet corporate objectives and perform insightful detailed financial and market analysis.

Required Skills and Education
Education and Experience
Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, strategy or similar is required, communications coursework, MBA and/or master's degree preferred.
CFA, CPA, CMA or similar professional certification preferred.
Minimum of 2 - 5 years of related experience.
Relevant product and industry knowledge.
Experience with relevant software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Workiva etc.)
Key Competencies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including formal presentation skills.
Organization, planning and project management skills.
Understanding of US GAAP.
Fluency in reading and analyzing financial statements and financial models.
Strong understanding of equity valuation, cash flow forecasting, and discounted cash flow (DCF).
Understanding of and strict adherence to the need for confidentiality.
Manage multiple projects under quick turnaround scenarios - deliver on deadlines.
Ability to analyze and recognize patterns and interpret data. Construct recommendations from those interpretations.
Strong relationship and people skills.
Demonstrate leadership ability.
Confidence and ability to interface with senior level leadership and external parties.
Approximately 10% travel is required.
Ability to manage projects independently and problem solve.
High attention to detail given materials are reviewed by senior leadership and publicly disclosed.
