Design and develop electromechanical coolant pumps and diverter valves. Design gear-train system for actuator product per customer and engineering requirements; support engineering verification (EV), design validation (DV) and production validation (PV) for product testing; support R&D with design, testing and analysis to improve design to production level; support product development for NVH improvements; create actuator product DFMEA’s for design analysis and review with customer, using IQ-RM software; perform thermal characterization of a stepper motor (actuator) considering actuator cycle time and duty cycle at different voltage; perform actuator back drive test to evaluate BLDC motor back-EMF and Hall effect signal using oscilloscope; test coolant valves on flow stand to characterize the flow rate and pressure; and review technical CAD drawings to determine if all requirements of the project are being met.
Requirements:
Bachelor foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 2 years of engineering experience in mechanical device design and development. Must have demonstrated knowledge of variety of engineering, statistics and CAD software methods through education or experience. Stated experience must include at least 1 year of experience with hydraulic equipment or components.
