Here's what you'll do when you join us:
The Nurse Director in Training is primarily responsible to learn the duties of and assist the Assistant
Director of Health Services and/or The Director of Health Services in managing the day-to-day functions
of the overall health concerns of each resident, and the overall operation of the Nursing Services
Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations
that govern long-term care facilities to assure that the highest degree of quality care can be provided to
our residents at all times.
* Learn and understand the policies and procedures that govern the level of cares within your
Health Campus.
* Learn to develop methods for coordination of nursing services with other resident services to
ensure the continuity of the residents' total regimen of care.
* Learn to develop, implement, and maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for the nursing
service department
* Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies.
* Follows all safety regulations, programs and policies and procedures.
* Supports campuses, departmental goals, and the overall objectives of the Company.
* Follows the company's policies and procedures regarding resident complaints and/or grievances
that indicate the action taken to resolve the complaint and the status of the complaint.
* Learn to determine the staffing needs of the nursing service department necessary to meet the
total nursing needs of the residents.
* Assist the Assistant Director of Health Services and/or The Director of Health Services in the
recruitment and selection of nursing service personnel.
* Participate in daily rounds of the nursing service department to ensure that all nursing service
personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing
standards.
* Review and audit resident electronic health records to ensure that they are informative and
accurate for the nursing care being provided, that they reflect the resident's response to the care, and that such care is provided in accordance with the resident's wishes.
* Participate in daily rounds to observe residents and to determine if nursing needs are being met in
accordance with the resident's request
* Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to ensure that medications are being
administered as ordered and that treatments are provided as scheduled.
* Provide direct nursing care as necessary.
* Responsible for weekend management coverage and on-call duties on a rotating basis or as
needed.
* Learn to lead campus programs, such as Clinical Care Meeting (CCM), Clinically at Risk Meeting
(CAR), and Quality Assurance Program Improvement (QAPI).
* All other duties as assigned.
If you have these qualifications, we'd love to chat:
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a RN degree. Must have and maintain a
current unencumbered, valid state RN license and current, valid CPR certification required.
Physical Requirements:
Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during
working hours. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Must be able to maintain verbal and written
communication with co-workers, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and all
