Toolroom Repair Specialist
Description
General Purpose of the Job:
Performs preventive maintenance on tooling and related items. Troubleshoots molding issues to determine if there is tool damage or there are other issues causing problems. Determines the correct actions to take in order to resolve the issues. Must perform necessary work to repair tool in house, while outsourcing as little as possible.

- CMM
- EDM, 10 + years
- Mills/Lathes knowledge
- Tool Repair experience in the Plastics Injection Molding Industry
- Demonstrated abilities handling stress in a fast paced environment while performing multiple tasks effectively
- Strong organization, trouble shooting, and planning skills: works efficiently
- Ability to work independently with judgment; adept at planning ahead, self-motivated
- Basic computer skills
- Strong teamwork skills required
- Some welding, benching/spotting, and machining skills
- High degree of mechanical and trouble shooting ability
- A STRONG understanding of injection molds and all their related components, example valve gates, hot runners, hydraulics, etc. and the knowledge to repair them
- Required to supply all necessary tools
Preferred Qualifications:
These are not required for applicants to possess in order to be considered, however, they are seen as desirable qualities that will lead to a higher level of success for the applicant.
- 4 years or more experience in the field of repair work in a manufacturing setting, with the knowledge of quality systems and the way they work.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency.
Work Environment:
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- Noise level in the work environment is moderate.
