his is an ENTRY-LEVEL human resources and recruiting position. The position will travel to customer sites with the use of a company vehicle and company gas card. A clean driving record is required.
Wage is $18.00 per hour.
JOB SUMMARY: Recruiting, hiring, and on-boarding facilities staff for various assigned sites throughout Oakland, and Wayne Counties. Assisting site supervisors with employee relations issues and employee orientations. Strong sense of urgency and self-motivation necessary. Some weekly travel involved.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruiting Duties -
- Build candidate pipelines for targeted positions
- Source candidates using various sourcing methods
- Screen, select, interview, evaluate and qualify potential candidates
- Perform required background checks as necessary
Human Resources Duties -
- On-board and orientate new employees for assigned sites
- Train site supervisors on orientation procedures and completion of new hire paperwork
- Assist Site Supervisors with the drafting and implementation of corrective actions
- Provide relevant metrics and reports as requested to highlight recruiting activity on an ongoing basis
- Maintaining human resource records and compiling reports as needed
- Respond to employee requests and act as liaison between employees and management
- Other HR related duties as assigned
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate degree preferred
- Minimum of six months full life-cycle recruiting and placing candidates.
- Experience utilizing social networks and databases to source and cold-call candidates.
- An upbeat, energetic, tenacious personality.
- A desire to grow and learn in human resources.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Effectively communicates; both verbal and written.
- Highly skilled at MS Office suite.
- Previous experience in a large company with applicant tracking system.
- Clean driving record.
