Job Description
Opening
At Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), we build the future of the cloud for Enterprises as a diverse team of fellow creators and inventors. We act with the speed and demeanor of a start-up, with the scale and customer-focus of the leading enterprise software company in the world.
Values are OCI's foundation and how we deliver excellence. We strive for equity, inclusion, and respect for all. We are committed to the greater good in our products and our actions. We are constantly learning and taking opportunities to grow our careers and ourselves. We challenge each other to stretch beyond our past in order to build our future.
In the Oracle National Security Realms (ONSR) we carry these values, along with a passion for serving our US Government customers, to provide a safe, secure, and highly reliable cloud computing experience.
Job Description
The ONSR Operation organization is constantly evolving, developing new processes, tools, and services to deliver a high-quality customer experience. The ONSR Automation organization is building a new service to enhance real-time visibility of OCI cloud health to better support our ONSR operators. This is a "built from scratch" opportunity but requires team members with a strong orientation toward operations as an engineering skill set and a never-ending commitment to the customer experience. You will have a unique opportunity to work with many OCI service teams as well as our partners in SaaS and other Oracle, government facing product organizations.
We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to help build, operate, and scale this service.
Responsibilities
As Senior Software Engineer, you will be a founding member of this team and collaborate with your fellow software team members and supporting architects for the software design, development, and operations of our new product. You should be able to architect broad systems interactions, be hands-on and be able to dive deep into any part of the stack. You should value simplicity and impact, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.
Though you are building this service from the ground up, you understand operational excellence and have a passion for delivering bug free, debt free, and minimal toil solutions. You will design and develop code, unit tests, integration tests, use CI/CD pipeline for pre-production functionality, performance, and scalability testing. Eventually, you will participate in our on-call rotation to monitor our service fleet. You will interface with other OCI service teams and should be able to communicate your needs and technical requirements effectively whilst simultaneously understanding their challenges and limitations to ensure a stable solution.
