Job Summary
Based upon user needs, and a sound understanding of applicable business or clinical systems and industry requirements, formulates and defines average to large project scopes and objectives. Devises or modifies procedures to solve problems, considering software applications capacity, resource availability, operating time and form of desired results. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements and translation into proper system requirement specifications. Participates in project leadership by documenting scope and defining implementation procedures. Provides technical project management, often leading work on new implementations and upgrades of related systems, and handling multiple projects simultaneously. Documents and drives best practices throughout the system. Staff members in this position are effective and self-sufficient in working within a diverse technology. Regularly provides guidance and training to less experienced Business Systems Analysts.
Essential Functions
This role will focus on the Service Continuity and Disaster Recovery program. The senior business systems analyst in this position will be responsible for:
Facilitating all aspects of the service continuity and disaster recovery program including driving organizational and operational preparedness, consulting on the development of plans, assisting with the planning and execution of tests, and ensuring documentation of all results
Designing, maintaining, and regularly updating the processes associated with the program and the related documentation
Coordinating and consulting with DS teams to document and regularly maintain service continuity and disaster recovery plans
Coordinating with DS teams to conduct and document disaster recovery tests
Providing awareness of the program requirements and providing training as needed
Partnering with the business continuity program to align strategies that comply with applicable regulations and organizational priorities
Ensuring program compliance with established security standards as well as audit and regulatory requirements
Regularly reporting the status of the program
Facilitating the application tiering process and identifying gaps between platform usage and design
Designing, testing, and maintaining the Business Continuity Management (BCM) module within ServiceNow
Effectively communicating in verbal and written formats to various levels of leadership as well as clearly communicating with team members, process managers, and customers
Participating in an on-call rotation
Knowledge of and experience with the following is required:
Business continuity and/or disaster recovery planning, testing, and coordination
SAFe methodology
Project management experience
ITIL and IT Service Management (ITSM) processes
Qualifications
Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Preferred Master's Degree or equivalent
5 years of relevant experience in the field Required
7 years of relevant experience including experience formulating and defining systems scopes and objectives Preferred
Experience using ServiceNow (particularly the Business Continuity Management module and service reporting capabilities) Preferred
Experience in systems development lifecycle including, requirements gathering and design Preferred
Participant in multiple phases of an integrated system implementation Preferred
