Purpose:The Center for Strategic Health Partnerships brings together diverse partners to improve health outcomes and increase access to care, focusing on underserved populations. Our Center seeks a Program Assistant to provide administrative and clerical support for the overall Center and public health projects. To be successful as a Program Assistant, individuals must have a general understanding of public health and project work and strong administrative skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in all administrative tasks needed on assigned projects.
Compose correspondence, memoranda, and meeting minutes; coordinate and disseminates necessary information.
Produce documentation necessary for grant proposals, training events, and workshops.
Schedule appointments, coordinate, and arrange meetings, travel arrangements, and training events for program staff as required.
Organize and coordinate external meetings, trainings, and workshops, including preparation of displays, agendas, registrations, attendee lists, and packets.
Ensure proper room settings and audiovisual equipment and arrange overnight stays and catering.
Provide administrative support and coordination for external meetings as requested.
Coordinate multiple projects for the scheduling and logistics of individual project or program meetings, interviews, focus groups, and other project-related gatherings.
Act as a liaison and resource for the Program to other MPHI Centers, external partners, and business clients; interpret and relay sensitive and confidential information as appropriate.
Assist in preparing administrative/project reports (quarterly, annual, final, and special reports) and project materials/products (newsletters, training guides, informational brochures, websites, manuals).
Edit, proofread, and provide input on project reports, correspondence, charts, graphs, and other documents using word processing and spreadsheet software.
Disseminate project-related information to the appropriate persons.
Administrative/MPHI Responsibilities:
Travel as needed, both in-state and out-of-state.
Maintain a positive, strong, credible, professional relationship with all parties for multiple MPHI projects and always represents MPHI's best interests.
Participate in ongoing strategic planning for the program and company.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Education: A bachelor's degree in business administration, public health, basic science, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: Familiarity with fundamental administrative and clerical methods and tools.Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Proficiency using social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn preferred.

Excellent oral and written communication skills and a strong client/customer orientation.
Able to work well in team situations.
Self-motivated, able to complete work promptly, and handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
Require proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and familiarity with email/internet browser software.
Knowledge of the principles of administrative support, including office procedures, email communication, meeting logistics, data entry, and document creation for each project associated with the program or Center.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Standard office environment. Some tasks may require travel. This position involves viewing a CRT or VDT screen 50% to 100% of the time.
