Job Description SummaryMonitors and orders supply items for general stores, supplier filled areas, chemicals, and filters in the Troy and Royal Oak facilities. Tracks orders and communicates with suppliers. Attend purchasing review meetings and make recommendations on order quantities. Crib organization and standardization.
Job Description
Monitor inventory levels of supply items
Monitor filter inventory for equipment
Communicate with suppliers on inventory levels for supplier filled areas
Work with on-site suppliers to manage inventory, ordering and summary billing
Assist manager procurement/maintenance with janitorial and outside grounds maintenance suppliers
Create releases for low inventory and other supply items as needed
Send releases to suppliers
Follow-up on delivery dates with suppliers
Requisition entry as needed for supply items and as needed for RMMF/TMMF
Request quotes from suppliers as needed
Create cycle counts
Track submitted/in-process coded material requests
Use Plex to report and track if any issues that arise while coding
Assist Maintenance team in finding items in General Stores inventory when necessary
Add equipment identification to coded inventory items
Audit monthly summary bills against packing slips
Occasional plant errands
Suggests changes in working conditions to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew
Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems
Initiates or suggests plans to achieve work goals
Meet all safety requirements and support implementation of any new safety requirements
Maintain necessary paperwork for procurement updates & changes
Comply with all company policies, procedures, and programs
Required Skills and Education
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
Working towards a business, finance, supply chain, or related degree
GPA of 3.0 or higher
Graduation date of Spring 2026 or later
