Job Summary
The Driver position is a safety-sensitive position that requires a high degree of responsibility transporting staff, patients, and visitors in a safe, timely and professional manner. Driver must be able to operate vehicle in all weather and driving conditions with multiple distractions. Driver is required to perform vehicle inspections, minor repairs, and cleaning duties. Monitors parking areas and grounds for potential security issues.
Essential Functions
Provides transportation for employees, guests and community groups to and from various locations.
Performs limited maintenance and care of department vehicles and equipment. Notifies supervisor of anticipated repair needs as appropriate.
Uses the radio to appropriately communicate with dispatch and other shuttle drivers while in route.
Monitors parking area and grounds for suspicious activity or hazards and reports them to the appropriate department.
Ensures appropriate documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with regulations and department policy.
Qualifications
Required High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be at least 21 years of age Required
Must have excellent driving record Required
6 months of relevant experience Preferred
Must be 25 years of age for Valet Required
LIC-Commercial Drive License - STATE_MI State of Michigan 30 Days required
LIC-Chauffeur License - STATE_MI State of Michigan 30 Days required
CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Not required for Corewell Health Lakeland. 90 Days required Or
CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Not required for Corewell Health Lakeland. 90 Days required
