DUTIES:
• Utilize electrical and control theories in order to test components.
• Modify and diagnose the electronic and electrical components on all production and plant equipment.
• Test and upgrade vision systems to optimize manufacturing process flow.
• Develop programming and provide support for Programmable Logic Controllers, ABB robots, Fanuc robots and panel views to maximize both quality and production.
• Develop new and support old programming using RSLogix 5000, RSLogix 500, RSView Studio, RSSQL, and RSNetWorx. Examine and resolve causes of mechanical and electrical malfunctions on all equipment.
• Assist the maintenance department in installing new electronic/electrical control equipment and make it operational.
• Develop engineering specifications for electrical controls systems and equipment modifications.
• Provide technical support to the maintenance department when required.
• Plan, direct and record periodic electrical analysis on the production equipment.
• Recommend and initiate modifications or replacement of equipment which fail to meet operating standards.
• Provide training for the maintenance department on the operation and run diagnostics of the machine controls and motor controllers.
• Update electrical drawings and schematics on all production and plant equipment.
• Maintain master backups for all machine programs.
• Recommend the electrical spare parts inventory for all new and existing production equipment to ensure maximum machine utilization.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering plus six (6) months of engineering experience with testing, debugging and optimizing programs for ABB Robots and Fanuc robots, as well as experience with RSLogix 5000, RSLogix, 500 RSView Studio, RSSQL, and RSNetWorx. Travel to various client sites within the US (25% of time). Need proof of legal authorization to work indefinitely in the U.S.
