POSITION: 1st shift Shipping & Receiving Clerk
LOCATION: Saline, MI
COMPENSATION: $17.00 Hourly
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, occasional Saturday 6 am to 11 am
STANDARD HOURS: 6:00am-2:30pm
OVERTIME HOURS: 6:00am-4:30pm

POSITION OVERVIEW: Will back-up both the shipping and receiving clerks while also effectively fulfilling all manufacturing requirements and maintain raw material within the stockroom. This position reports to the Stockroom Coordinator, and works closely with the account managers, production manager, and test department. Accuracy and traceability are key factors.
Work Performed: Shipping
Verification and shipping of finished goods to the customer. Verify and transfer product from production to finished goods. Entering shipment and product transfers within the Made2Manage MRP system. Overall control of finished goods inventory items. Using UPS, DHL, and FedEx shipping and tracking software. Communicating effectively with various internal departments. Assisting other departments as needed. Completing errands, as required. Any other special projects. Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
Work Performed: Receiving
Responsible for verification and receiving of raw materials into M2M database. Create and label each item with barcodes. Maintain raw material consignment inventory and transfer to Made2Manage as required. Maintain record of items transferred to inspection hold and monitor status. Notify purchasing and accounting of discrepancies upon receipt. Communicate effectively with various internal departments. Assist other departments as needed. Any other special projects. Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Must have the physical capability to prepare items for shipping
• Knowledge of barcode processes
• Must have computer skills, word, excel and outlook
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle lifting over 50 pounds
• Knowledge on shipping paperwork
• Adequate typing skills
• Detail oriented and able to work in a fast paced environment
• Background/experience in a JIT/Lean manufacturing environment a definite plus!
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least two years experience in a shipping/receiving environment, with Microsoft Office experience preferred. Must be computer literate. UPS software knowledge a plus. Must be flexible with working hours, including Saturdays.
