Position Summary:
This position provides administrative support to the Dean and Associate Dean in the College of the Arts and Media (CAM), which requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive issues. This position is responsible for complex and varied duties, requiring an ability to work both collaboratively and with a high degree of autonomy.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Four years of qualifying experience or a combination of education and experience that equates to four years.
Experience with Microsoft Word.
Customer service experience.
Spreadsheet and/or database experience.
Organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to project a positive attitude.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with accurate results.
Ability to compose, proofread and edit correspondence.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of specific software programs and/or mainframe/systems skills (i.e. Excel, Access, SAP).
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides administrative support to the Dean and Associate Dean, which includes scheduling meetings, preparing and distributing correspondence and reports.
Accesses, updates and prints reports in Millennium.
Prepares thank you cards to donors.
Gathers event information and coordinates the monthly events email with Advancement.
Verifies scholarship and endowment account information in Millennium and SAP.
Maintains an annual tracking report of all scholarship awards within the CAM.
Interacts with other department offices relative to donor giving, scholarships and endowments.
Provides administrative support for interdisciplinary programs in the college.
Coordinates building key assignments.
Inputs and approves staff and student payroll in TimeClock Plus.
Orders office and computer lab supplies as needed.
Provides assistance on projects as assigned by Dean and Manager of Business Operations.
Maintains college listservs.
Other duties as assigned.
