Springs Window Fashions in Grayling is accepting applications for a Team Coordinator.
OB PURPOSE: To ensure a continuous flow of work through their designated department. To assist associates in performing daily duties relating to Production, Reporting on Time and Attendance, and Performance Management. This is a working position that requires machine skills or the ability to learn machine operations. (Moulders, rip saws, planers, Ultimizers, various saws, sanders, &c.) Must have basic comuter skills and the ability to learn new computer skills.
JOB DUTIES: Perform direct manufacturing duties, as time allows. Ensure a continuous flow of work through their designated department by:
- Balancing workflow by moving associates to avoid bottlenecks
Insuring material availability and entering requisitions
- Communicating any production issues with manager and Coordinator on the following shift
- Keeping records of cross training, Safety, LEAN, etc. identifying any opportunities and administering training.
- Coordinating with Maintenance to resolve equipment issues
- Searching out and recommending any process improvements. Perform Time and Attendance actions by:
- Processing computerized time cards for regular and temp associates
- Administering daily reports
- Tracking and entering department changes
- Scheduling and approving vacation/ bonus allowances under established guidelines by area. Complete production reporting for designated department by:
- Verifying accuracy and completeness of production information
- Entering Production numbers into production spreadsheets and printing and posting of weekly production graphs
- Analyzing the production numbers and reporting any outstanding findings to manager. Complete Performance Management issues by:
- Providing information and feedback to Supervisor/HR regarding individual associate performance
- Preparing and discussing Individual Improvement Plans and/or Balanced Scorecards with Team Members
- Coordinating New Hires and Transfers into their area with Training Coordinator and OJT.
- Coordinating any Quality documentation with manager and/or Training Coordinator. Maintain a Safe Work Environment by:
- Reporting any safety concerns to Safety Team Associates or Safety manager
- Insuring that Safety Audits, Spot Checks and other safety documents are completed on time
- Assisting with Accident Investigations
Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum - High school diploma or equivalent; prefer 3 years manufacturing/leadership experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ensures quality by:
- Using project plan and project schedule methodology
- Clearly defining and utilizing processes in daily work
- Understanding SWF team structure, roles and responsibilities
- Integrating process methodology into daily work; MPI, QAT, 5S, 6D, Q@S etc
- Looking for innovative ways to streamline work processes across the division and involves stakeholders
- Identifying gaps using tools such as Baldridge criteria, WI Forward Award criteria, GPTW, IDP etc
- Establishing forums to share best practices
- Using department and company scorecard and other metrics
- Measuring own work to plan and reports out at a micro and macro level
