Job Summary
Develops and builds an increased market for continuum of care services in Senior Living
Duties and Responsibilities
-
Establish and implement sales and census development strategies for assigned centers and programs in achievement of meeting center, service line and organizational goals.

Support the implementation of the continuum of care throughout the state of Michigan by collaborating with and promoting care management, home health, senior living and home care services.

Establish contacts and build relationships with prospects, hospital discharge planners and other medical professionals.

Circulate Samaritas promotional materials; partner with Communications department and vendor representatives to assure contemporary branding and messaging of services.

Respond timely to community referrals and evaluation of eligibility for services.

Ensure proper documentation for compliance and smooth transitions in care.
Job Qualifications
Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification
-
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
Experience
-
Five years' related experience in a marketing, census development or sales role in a health care environment preferred; long term care or senior living preferred.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
-
Excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent public speaking skills. Ability to speak, read and write fluent English.

Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with varying levels of cognitive and physical impairments.
-
Ability to interact and nurture relationships with diverse populations, including but not limited to the elderly, church congregations and other service organizations.

Ability to display compassion and sensitivity with vulnerable adults who may become angry, hostile, or combative.
-
Ability to organize, analyze and maintain data and statistical information. Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to work cooperatively as part of an interdependent team.

Working knowledge of or ability to learn various computer software applications.

Ability to work evenings and weekends when required.

Automobile travel required.

Valid unrestricted driver's license with good driving record. Reliable personal automobile with valid proof of automobile insurance.
