GENERAL SUMMARY
Under direction, performs varied clerical tasks that require independent action. May perform the following tasks: typing letters, reports, forms and other correspondence that requires attention to detail; maintains complex clerical records; files records and reports; posts information; sorts and distributes mail. Assists management in the performance of audits and studies including data collection and appraisal entry. May train employees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Updates and corrects information on records and forms.
Answer incoming telephone calls and relays messages to appropriate individuals or departments.
Assists others by providing them with a number of different services such as explaining technical regulations, policies and procedures or providing them with information.
Receives and processes warranty deeds and other related property transfer documents.
Assists management in the performance of audits and studies, including data collection and appraisal entry.
Assists appraisers with completion of required annual appraisals including data entry of appraisal information, updating sketches of properties, downloading photographs, and assisting out in the field.
Makes copies of reports and/or information, routes to appropriate people and/or departments, and files them once completed.
Receives, screens, sorts and/or counts materials such as applications, permits and forms.
Performs related duties as assigned.

Required Licenses or Certifications

Michigan Certified Assessor Technician (MCAT) designation from the State of Michigan

Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and operable, insured automobile for authorized travel
