WSP is currently initiating a search for a Water Resources Project Manager for our Detroit, MI office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct a technical workload appropriate to surface water drainage, water and/or wastewater design
Perform engineering design services, plan, coordinate and supervise routine projects and personnel, both in the field and office
Collaborate with clients on specific projects and subcontractors on behalf of the client
Supervise work performed by engineers and hydrogeologists
Be responsible for technical analysis and accuracy of work done under their supervision
Prepare technical reports for projects
Prepare project proposals, manage project budgets, and fulfill administrative and training requirements
Work with a team and be self-motivated to handle multiple projects and tasks with time constraints
Exhibit personal initiative, dependability, and punctuality

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor or Masters degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resource Engineering
5 to 8 years professional experience in water main design, sanitary sewer design, stormwater design, drainage, and hydrogeologic assessment
Project/client management experience
Registered as professional engineer in MI, or the ability to do so within 3 months.
Working understanding of water resources
Strong verbal and technical writing skills
Involvement in professional and/or client-based associations
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
