Provides evidence based care in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness and substance use disorders within an interdisciplinary team.
Also provides individual, conjoint, group and family psychotherapy; in addition to crisis intervention services, as needed.
Ensures that the quality of care is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable.
Hours: 3 full 8 hour days on Tuesday, Wednesday,Thursday and Half day on Fridays
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Master's (or Doctoral) degree in clinical or counseling psychology with one year supervised post masters experience; OR Master's degree in Social Work with two years post Master's experience in mental health/chemical dependency setting.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED : Licensed Psychologist; OR Limited Licensed Psychologist; OR Licensed Master's in Social Work.
Preferred Skills
Graduated from an accredited university/college with a master's degree social work, and fully licensed to practice in the state of Michigan (passed their State of MI MSW Licensure exam).
A minimum of 3-5 years' experienc e providing individual, group & family therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults up to age 21 and their families.
Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective behavioral health care plans.
Experience working on a multidisciplinary/integrated team; either in a school environment, outpatient behavioral health setting and/or primary care setting with high-risk patients/families.
The skill set to work independently, as well as part of a dynamic integrated team, with excellent organization skills.
Ability to perform a wide variety of professional behavioral health services; to effectively communicate with patients, families, and other personnel.
