We are currently looking for a full-time team member that will work across our Bindery and Digital Print departments, under the direction of the production supervisor. This entry level position is for the person willing to learn/operate digital sheeted printing equipment - Canon inkjet, toner-based printers, and small bindery equipment - Duplo business card slitter, Horizon StitchLiner, Horizon score creaser folder and Polar 78 cutter. The Apprentice Bindery/Digital Print Operator continues to learn upon assignment to set-up and operate the lines of associated equipment to become a more skillful and versatile operator.
Experience is not necessary; we are willing to train the right person. Experience in construction or a skilled trade is helpful but not required. Customer relations and service are a priority in all jobs. Attention to detail is a must!
This is a second shift role with work hours usually fall between the hours of 3:00pm - 11:00 pm, Monday - Friday with overtime as needed during peak business times. Initial training may take place during first shift if needed. Other schedules may be available depending on candidate and company needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Acquiring the job folder and reviewing it for the specifications or special instructions.
Operates or assists on bindery equipment and digital printing presses.
Review the quality of the product continuously to meet the standard that is required.
Cross-train and learn the lines of equipment.
Staging of materials for scheduled jobs.
Ability to operate manual pallet lift trucks etc. and powered lift trucks if necessary.
Loads and off loads product from skids/pallets.
Learn and understand the different substrates that our equipment runs.
Maintain both the equipment and immediate area.
Comply with all OSHA safety requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required -
High level of mechanical aptitude
Great written and communication skills
Use of measuring devices - ability to measure with and read rulers
General computer use to prepare delivery slips, carton labels and log into software for job costing and time tracking
Physical Demands and Work Environment -
May be required to remain in a stationary position for an extended period.
Comfort performing tedious tasks - able to perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time.
Requires ability to stand for extended periods, handle paper, reach forward, bend and lift boxes or cartons that can weigh up to 50 pounds.
Exposure to potentially hazardous conditions. Receives detailed instructions and procedures to be followed to minimize the exposure, including use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) [Safety Glasses, Gloves, and Hearing Protection]
This position requires onsite presence at the employee's assigned location for all scheduled shifts.
