Construction Engineer II
We have a career opportunity for a Construction Engineer II that wants to be a valuable key member of our Construction Services group. In this client-interfacing position, you will manage assigned projects by executing project plans and overseeing the day-to-day operations.
The Impact You Will Have:
Review and update the Construction Project Manager of adequacy of budget and schedule.
Execute project work plans and revisions created in conjunction with Project Manager.
Assist Construction Project Manager with the supervision and/or training of Construction Representatives and Inspectors.
Research and develop unit costs for estimating purposes on extra work and monitor budget estimates, scope, and schedule.
Establish survey requirements in conjunction with Surveyors.
Report on progress of work, including technical issues, status of work remaining to be done and any noted deficiencies.
Provide solutions to project development and construction obstacles.
What You Will Need:
Licensed PE with a BS in civil engineering OR Construction Management.
8+ years of experience working directly with DOT, Municipal and private clients.
Experienced working with DOT and will be well-versed in applicable codes and standards.
Proficient in CADD software and Microsoft Office Products.
Punctual, organized, and deadline-driven to provide quality work.
Ability to work under time constraints dealing with numerous concurrent activities.
Strength in professional networking, client contact, contractors, and coordination.
Participation in professional organizations.
