Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is looking for a CT Scanning Engineer to support the newly constructed Safety Test Investigation Laboratory (STIL) through Computer Tomography (CT) analysis of production, prototype, and competitive components. This role is located in our Materials Development Department at our Superior Township, MI (just East of Ann Arbor) location.
In this role you will:
Analyze metal (sheet steel, cast iron, aluminum, etc.), composite, and electronic materials/components for development, current production, and competitive vehicles using CT system and SEM.
Generate analysis reports for review by management and affiliates (Production, Quality teams, etc.).
Develop CT scan techniques and methodologies to improve analysis outcome.
Operate and maintain CT Scan system, including coordination of PM, repairs, and supplies with Lab Management.
Audit quality of current production materials/components.
Support Hyundai Motor Group and North / South American manufacturing locations with resolution of quality issues, consulting with plant manufacturing locations and associated suppliers.
Benchmark industry activities and report results to appropriate departments.
Improve the quality of current Hyundai and Kia production parts.
Create and present technical reports as assigned.
Perform additional projects as assigned.
Complete additional technical training to continuously improve skills, including training through certification agencies and training provided at Hyundai Material Research & Engineering Center in Namyang, South Korea.
Travel up to 10% of time domestically and internationally.

Experience and Skills
Bachelor's degree in a relevant Science, Technology, Engineering. Other degrees may be considered based on relevant experience
Experience in CT scan analysis of metals, plastics, electronics, etc.
Proficient skills in time management and organization, MS Office software, and oral and written communication
Ability to travel via air both domestically and internationally, including Seoul, South Korea.
Valid Driver's License and Satisfactory Driving Record
