PURPOSE/SCOPE:
With proper on-site training and continued education, this position will develop the required skill sets to support various functions within the technical publications department. Primarly focusing on and leading up to the development of producing technical publications utilized by our customer base and service organization, along with maintaining multiple websites for global markets. The position will work closely with the technical publications staff, engineering group, product management, and other with cross-functional teams to obtain the necessary product knowledge and information while gaining experience to develop technical publications.
GENERAL RESPONISIBILITIES:
Operator Manual development/maintenance
Parts Manuals development/maintenance
Aftermarket kit installation instruction development
Technical Service bulletin development and communication
User Guide development
Online Parts Catalog authoring
Dept. consultation/coordination of engineering change orders that affect Parts Manuals
Maintain department technical publication records/files
Participation with cross-functional project teams
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
High School diploma or equivalent; 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility
Emphasis in English grammar with the ability to articulate instructional information
Basic computer skills. Software experience would be a plus: Adobe Custom Suite products including Acrobat, Illustrator, PhotoShop, InDesign, etc. Microsoft office; Outlook, Word, Excel, SAP and SolidWorks/CAD
Basic photography skills
An understanding of 2D/3D shapes, objects spatial relationship
