Product Sustainment includes broad coverage and could include design for manufacturability improvements, design changes to support manufacturing process changes, internal and external supplier issue resolution related to design requirements or obsolescence, and root cause investigations to determine appropriate actions on areas as broad as improving end customer experience and reliability or ensuring regulatory compliance as system components change. This role will work individually or in teams depending on the project. The work will often involve distilling a manufacturing interruption into defined states, root cause analysis, applying structured problem solving methods involving engineering calculations and analysis, and executing solutions to improve robustness of the product to production variation while improving customer experience and company profitability.
