Summary
The Software Engineer will support the existing deployments of manufacturing systems and interfaces to analytical and business systems. This position will be part of the GAF Manufacturing Data Systems team, which is focused on plant control systems, software, and network solutions for our manufacturing locations in the US. The incumbent will focus on designing, developing, and supporting the manufacturing systems used in GAF. This position will require an understanding of manufacturing operations and business systems. The individual will be required to collaborate across functions and departments and various layers of management in the organization to implement solutions.
This position will also require basic troubleshooting and issue management either directly with the software vendor or using other resources. This role reports directly to the Lead Software Engineer.
*This is a remote role that requires up to 50% travel.
Essential Duties:
Development of MES objects and User Interfaces, SQL Stored Procedures, and SSRS reports for existing and future MES deployments across the organization following standards built to maintain the MES design's integrity, developing components for applications to connect systems and devices
Provide support for MES installations and other systems utilized by manufacturing.
Interfacing with plant operations to develop capital project scope and implementation guidelines for implementations and upgrades of new and existing manufacturing systems.
Develop and support interfaces to and from analytical and business systems, including WMS (Warehouse Management), SAP, Peoplesoft, and other databases as needed.
Recommend project upgrades or enhancements to the plants and Analytic Systems Manager.

Must continuously have the ability to differentiate colors precisely
Periodically lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds

BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
5+ years of Application and Database Development
Up to 50% travel
Under this Roof, We also Value:
Deployment and support of MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) systems.
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft SQL server
Experience building and maintaining SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) Reports
Experience with programming languages such as VB.NET or C#
Knowledge of servers, firewalls, switches, and diagnostics
Experience with manufacturing operations

Annual Salary Range: 121,500-155,250
