This position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating human resources activities for our locations inHolly, MI. Provide support and mentoring to assigned operations HR staff and act as a liaison for the HR function in the implementation of HR strategy, policies and procedures at manufacturing, distribution and/or processing locations. The role reports to our Director, Human Resources.
In this role, you will:
Conduct direct HR activities in the areas of recruitment and retention, performance management, training and development, labor relations, employee relations, compensation and benefits.
Plan, coordinate, lead and overseecollective bargaining negotiations and agreementsfor assignedMichigan-based location(s), under the direction of the Director of HR.
Act as a direct HR representative at assigned Michigan-based locations, including performing all HR-related day-to-day activities.
Work with the operations and functional leaders and staff, as the counsel and strategic business partner in all areas of human resources.
Work with benefits, payroll and other HQ-based team members in order to provide efficient and effective HR services to employees.
Coordinate and ensure government compliance reporting at all facilities.
Conduct regular meetings with operations HR support staff to exchange information and provide ongoing support and problem resolution.
Disseminate/communicate HR-related policies and procedures.
Coordinate HQ-based requests with all facilities.
Analyze the talent of operations HR staff, identify and implement training needs for continued career development.
Manage HR projects designed to maximize organizational effectiveness.
Oversee operation's salary and wage administration processes, along with HQ leadership, ensure compliance and equity within the organization.
Work in conjunction with EHS on worker compensation claims and issues.
Work as a team member with HQ-based HR staff on HR strategy and continuous improvement in all areas of the HR function.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications-Education/Experience
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or appropriate business discipline
Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively increasing responsibilities within Human Resources positions, with experience in a multi-site manufacturing environment
Experience in employee andlabor relations within bargained (and/or union) and non-bargainedfacilities
Knowledge of worker compensation claims process
Experience directly updating employee records within HCM/HRIS/payroll/time and attendance systems
Ability and experience in working effectively with all levels of a company and understanding the needs of internal customers
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Able to drive change in processes and organization culture
Proven ability to perform effectively within budgetary guidelines
Decisive and confident, open and candid, with the ability to energize others
Strong sense of urgency and personal commitment
Able to build strong and dependable teams
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents
Able to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
Flexibility to support multiple shifts
Proficient knowledge of Office Suite software
Preferred:
SHRM or HRCI certification
Experience with Ceridian Dayforce
Travel Requirements: Mostly located in Holly, MI, with some travel to other Michigan locations
