Pine Rest, in partnership with Corewell Health, is seeking an additional psychiatrist to work at Corewell Health Hospital in St. Joseph, Michigan.
Inpatient psychiatric services and consultation liaison services to medical floors and the Emergency Department are provided through a collaboration between Corewell Health Lakeland and Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services. Through this joint collaboration Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services () employs psychiatrists to provide the psychiatric services and leadership.
Pine Rest is seeking an additional psychiatrist to work at Corewell Health Lakeland in St. Joseph, Michigan.
About the behavioral health inpatient unit
26-bed inpatient unit, with an average daily census of 22 is staffed with 2.50 FTE of psychiatrists.
A full-time psychiatrist carries a patient load of about 8-10 patients and will provide consultation liaison to the acute care floors and emergency room, on average about 2 consults per day.
Multi-disciplinary treatment team.
Night call coverage is rotated between the psychiatrists, as well as a compliment of Pine Rest psychiatrists who provide overnight and weekend call coverage.
Night call coverage is provided by phone only, face to face coverage is provided by the Medical physicians overnight.
Weekend rounding on a 1:4 rotation. Weekend rounding consists of 1 psychiatrist and either a psychiatric advanced practice provider or another psychiatrist. Every patient is seen every day.
