Working with us, you will:
Collaborate with diverse teams of interdisciplinary professionals to complete campus planning projects across the country.
Participate in, and often lead, team meetings involving internal colleagues, consultants, and/or clients to share findings and recommendations with meeting participants.
Communicate planning issues, opportunities, and recommendations to a wide variety of stakeholders as part of public meetings.
Integrate planning elements such as academic/research/student life redevelopment opportunities, social justice, transportation, green infrastructure, open space, sustainability, and resiliency into plans and designs.
Manage one or more projects including negotiating project scope and fees, job production and quality, and fee management.
Lead efforts around production of project presentations, plan reports and all project deliverables to ensure an integrated and cohesive outcome.
Participate in marketing efforts through proposal development, interview participation and presentations.
Develop trusting relationships with clients.
Mentor junior staff and participate in performance coaching.
Participate in the recruitment and interviewing process as requested.
An ideal candidate has:
A master's or bachelor's degree in urban planning, urban design, landscape architecture, architecture, or related field of study.
Minimum 8years of experience in urban and/or campus design and planning.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Licensure in applicable field of study preferred.
Experience with higher education clients.
The ability to manage clients, project teams and project processes with ease.
High-level understanding of 2D programs including AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and ArcGIS; and 3D programs including Sketchup, along with Microsoft Office suite.
The ability to travel nationally up to 30%.
