Your role.
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
Monitor federal tax legislation, regulations, technical guidance, and enforcement campaigns to identify client planning opportunities and new service areas for development
Serve as a technical tax resource to internal and external clients with respect to emerging issues and general federal tax issues
Provide assistance to internal and external clients in connection with IRS, state, and local tax examinations and other interactions
Review responses to inquiries, notices, and examination reports from the IRS and other tax authorities
Conduct tax research on federal tax issues and prepare client communications, position analyses, external articles, and internal training resources
Participate in tax webinars and author tax alerts related to emerging tax, tax controversy, and other planning opportunities for clients
Work to develop relationships with both internal and external clients, including involvement in networking and business development activities
Assist clients in connection with tax transaction reporting
The qualifications.
Successful completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and / or a Juris Doctor Degree
CPA licensure or state bar admission required
At least 4 years of experience in complex tax practice or Tax Controversy-related positions within a CPA or law firm, or the Internal Revenue Service
Will consider remote arrangements for applicants beyond a reasonable distance of a physical Plante Moran office
This position may be filled as a Tax Senior or a Tax Manager depending on applicable experience and qualifications

Compensation is commensurate with technical skills and experience and is provided in accordance with the CO Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.
Compensation information posted is based on a position being located in the state of CO. Please review position location for applicable geographic location.
Colorado monthly base range is as follows:
$6,666.67 to $12,083.34
