The US Plant Environmental Compliance Manager is responsible for leading the Environmental Specialists at the US Manufacturing plants to ensure compliance to Federal, State, and Local regulations in addition to following the Corporate Policies and Procedures. This position will be directly responsible for talent and development of Environmental Specialists at US plants and create career plans for the larger team. This manager will be tasked with achieving the Stellantis Environmental KPIs and help to impact corporate savings through environmental operational efficiency. This role has direct responsibility and oversight for environmental compliance, Stellantis Production Way (SPW) environmental domain activities, and the Environmental Management System (EMS 14001).
This manager will perform the following tasks:
Assist in plant environmental issues as required
Provide direct compliance oversight and ability to work with various parties on compliance items
Manage read across of Best Practices to the various sites
Provide direction and oversight to Environmental Specialists and M/E/Facility Managers on environmental issues
Hiring manager of environmental sources and determines proper plant allocation
Overall employee development
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental, Engineering, Science or related field
Strong understanding of federal, state, provincial and local environmental regulations and requirements
Minimum of ten years of relevant environmental compliance experience such as auditing, consulting, manufacturing, etc.
Willingness to work on any shift and additional hours as required
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong leadership, analytical and problem solving skills
Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite and/or other software
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Environmental, Engineering, Science or related field
Strong understanding of federal, state, provincial and local environmental regulations and requirements
Environmental related professional certifications (e.g. PE, CHMM)
Automotive or manufacturing environmental compliance experience
