Support the delivery of the heat subsystem module that integrates seamlessly into new or existing dryers and work to develop new and innovative features. Serve as a key focal point for leading design solutions for heat systems across various technologies, such as heat pumps, condensing, and air-vented clothes dryers. Support the module technology roadmaps and manage key inputs such as complexity reduction, attribute requirements, and cost & quality to ensure the proper strategy is in place. Understand the critical module parameters that contribute to system-level attribute performance (functional decomposition) on heat pumps and air-vented dryers. Lead new module designs from concept development to execution, working cross-functionally with our business and manufacturing teams. Partner with the cross functional development team to enable the system-level performance attributes. Develop multiple concepts and utilize Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), design verification plans, and risk assessment tools to assist in decision making. Develop new and improve existing test methods and test plans for performance validation. Develop and capture knowledge required to deliver design excellence. Perform technical project management including Schedule, Scope, and Risk management related to components owned. May work from home up to 2 days per week.
