Job Description:
Summary:
The person in this position will provide administrative and project support on environmental projects for industrial clients and Barr's internal teams.
Work assignments may include scheduling, providing logistic support, and coordinating catering for internal and external meetings; developing visual presentation materials; formatting, organizing, and producing documents; providing high-level Microsoft Word and Excel assistance for projects; and creating and modifying Excel spreadsheets.
Specific project support tasks may involve monitoring work orders and budgets; managing client contact information; assisting with project file set-up; maintaining and organizing project records; providing quality assurance/quality control for project documents; coordinating production and delivery of major work products; creating PDF files; and creating tables and graphs using Excel.
Work will require frequent discussions with other administrative staff, project managers, and internal teams to inform them of work status and coordinate tasks. This person will also make suggestions on how to improve processes and create efficiencies, identify recurring problems, and offer solutions based on facts and data.
Minimum Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent
Two years of experience related to the job responsibilities described above
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively
Superb written communication skills
High level of organizational ability along with accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and pivot in a dynamic environment
Self-sufficient, highly motivated, with a strong orientation for results and achievement
Demonstrated professionalism and client service
Desire to work as a collaborative team-member to meet project goals
Strong aptitude for problem-solving and critical thinking
Ability to exercise discretion when dealing with confidential information, keeping records, and analyzing and summarizing raw data
Comfortable working in ambiguity
Proficient in or demonstrated ability to master Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Willingness to tailor availability to help meet project deadlines
Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship from Barr, now or in the future
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree or equivalent experience
Demonstrated project management skills
Experience using data management systems (e.g., Deltek Vision, Epicor, Workday)
Proven ability to master Microsoft 365 applications, including Forms, Planner, Visio, and other business software and databases
A hybrid work arrangement may be considered for this position. A hybrid work arrangement refers to splitting time worked between a Barr office and a home office. This position can be based out of the following Barr offices: Denver, Colorado; Ann Arbor or Grand Rapids, Michigan; Duluth, Hibbing, or Minneapolis, Minnesota; Jefferson City, Missouri; Bismarck, North Dakota; or Salt Lake City, Utah.

Compensation:
The anticipated base hourly range for this position is $21.00-$32.00 per hour. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors. Employees in this position may also be eligible for a discretionary cash bonus.
