WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Continuous Improvement Specialist provides site-wide support in the areas of process improvement identification, execution, and sustainability. As part of the Continuous Improvement department, the Continuous Improvement Specialist also supports the plant with implementation of formal change management practices to ensure effective and sustainable improvements are implemented.
Major Responsibilities
Identify and/or implement process improvement projects utilizing project management and change management methodologies
Collaborate cross-functionally with individuals in different areas and levels of the plant, including facilitation of structured process for prioritization of projects
Lead projects with moderate scope/requirements/deadlines
Provide project updates to key stakeholders and senior leaders as appropriate
Actively supporting the site's Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement programs
Observe, analyze, and support operations and quality processes to drive impactful business results
Participate and facilitate cross-functional events including Kaizen, focus-problem solving, root cause analysis (RCAs), and other continuous improvement related activities
Be actively engaged in the site's Project Management Office (PMO)
Work with appropriate personnel to obtain quotes or formalize projects, as appropriate, for identified scopes of work
Provide other plant support as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience plus demonstrated competence - necessary to understand plant operations
At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
At least 1 year of experience in project management, including fundamental understanding of change management principles
Demonstrated capabilities with formal continuous improvement methodologies
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
Demonstrated strengths in organization, communication, leadership, problem solving, collaboration and interpersonal/teamwork skills
Willingness and flexibility to work off-shifts when required based on project objectives/timelines
Preferred
Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification
Project scheduling/management/resourcing experience
High degree of familiarity with manufacturing processes

The base pay for this position is $57,300.00 - $114,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
