Set-up Technician is primarily responsible for working from written work instructions and job specific written procedures to perform assigned tasks. The primary responsibilities of this position include basic machine set-up and operations of molding machines, semi-automatic and automatic equipment, and monitoring that equipment. Additionally, this role will require short-distance material handling of raw materials and finished goods.
Load, start up, perform color changes and operate molding machines, semi-automatic assembly machines, automatic assembly machines, or manual assembly machines per setup instructions; Shut down machines when necessary
Perform visual and functional quality inspection at predetermined intervals to assure product quality meets standards.
Perform material handling, monitor auxiliary equipment, and minor maintenance as required.
Perform gaging as necessary to assure product meets dimensional standards.
Correctly label products and palletize for transfer to next operation.
Maintain accurate documentation to meet job requirements.
Communicate with prior and oncoming shifts to achieve production requirements and promote awareness.
Communicate any Machine/Quality issues immediately to supervisor.
Promote safety by abiding to all related policies and procedures of ITW Dahti Seating.
Follows all procedures as outlined by ISO 9001 and OSHA.
Complete all additional tasks, as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent required
Prior experience in Manufacturing; experience working in plastic injection molding is a plus
Basic math skills and reasoning ability
Must be able to stand / walk for a full manufacturing shift
Able to lift to 55 lbs. occasionally, with or without assistance
Team player with good attitude and strong work ethic
Good Communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
