Duties:
Cardiac-Rehabilitation - Responsible for design, implementation and evaluation of risk factor reduction education programs for patients and family. Also responsible for monitoring the hemo-dynamic responses of the exercising patient as well as continually assessing bio-psych-social and educational needs. Perform GXT assessments and assist Nuclear Medicine Technician during stress testing of patients.
Clinical Telemedicine - Responsible for telemedicine services including scheduling, and computer input.
Oversight of all functions of the Wellness Center. Responsible for developing, marketing, and implementing programs or special events that will enhance Wellness Center participation and services offered.
Assists in the development of policies and procedures. Responsible for maintaining the Wellness centers, including equipment and records.
Work with Director of Radiology and Director of Rehab Services, assisting in stress tests, coordinating telemedicine and performing patient care management for cardiac rehab.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology or Exercise Physiology Science.
Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in similar setting preferred.
Ability to demonstrate competency in required skills including the ability to demonstrate exercises and use of equipment. Ability to prioritize tasks, take initiative and promptly/appropriately follow through with duties. Ability to determine staffing needs and supervise staff.
Familiar with creating operational and capital budgets. Capable of creating departmental policies and procedures. Self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as a team member.
Interpersonal skills a must with members, co-workers and other hospital personnel, medical staff, patients, and visitors. Ability to be courteous, diplomatic and tactful when interacting with others; ability to excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Graduate of an accredited School of Kinesiology with a degree in exercise physiology or exercise science.
BLS certified or eligible.
ACLS certified or eligible.
