As a Field Service Technician - Safes, you will be responsible for supporting the commercial services department in Dearborn/Detroit, MI by providing quality service on our various projects. The Field Service Technician - Safes will service customers by determining issues with products, resolving problems, performing preventative maintenance, installation, and training customers on the proper use of equipment. This person will be self-motivated, have a strong desire to learn a trade, and have the willingness to be part of a team that exceeds our customers' expectations.
This role focuses on providing high-quality repairs, installation, and troubleshooting safes, vaults, and ATMs. No two days are the same and no two locations will be either. One day you could be on site all day and the next, on call waiting for the next booking. This role is hourly and comes with a company vehicle.
You will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. This role requires you to work as part of a team as well as independently, have great attention to detail, and be able to carry items up to 50 pounds or more.

Please see job duties, responsibilities, and requirements below:
Provide onsite technical support and repairs of customers' equipment, which may include training customers on the proper use of equipment
Communicate with Dispatch to maximize productivity. Provide detailed documentation of troubleshooting, repairs performed, parts used, and status of equipment. Keep reports of service requests and complaints.
Troubleshooting and solving emergency service requests.
Quickly respond to moderate or complex service orders.
Respond and service all assigned on-call service calls.
Drive company vehicles to various customer locations as directed by Dispatch. Be readily available to accept a repair, install, and/or preventative maintenance calls from Dispatch
Report defective material or inaccuracies
Organize and manage paperwork, inventory tools, and parts
Initiate orders for replacement parts and/or for correcting orders (shortages, wrong item shipped, etc.)
Perform required administrative duties, meetings, parts returns, timesheets, expense reports, and detailed ticket analysis
Provide weekly vehicle maintenance
Travel local and out-of-state travel, as required.
Performs other duties as assigned
Skills/Requirements:
Smart-phone familiarity and technologically savvy
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Experience with mapping and routing applications such as MapPoint or Google Maps
Electro-mechanical skills a must, ability to use basic hand tools including but not limited to multi-meter, voltmeter, volt-ohm meter
Ability to complete the work on small, moving parts accurately and carefully
Good organizational skills
Ability to interpret written instructions and documents
Ability to learn through telephone training
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service
Valid driver's license and driving record in Good Standing
Ability to maintain a reliable vehicle and appropriate liability vehicle insurance to perform work in the area, as deemed appropriate by Cennox liability insurance policy, currently in place and as amended in the future
-May be subject to drug and alcohol testing.
Experience:
3+ years' experience with low voltage electronics, mechanical systems, and computer experience
Experience with alarm/CCTV systems, Safe or ATM technical experience is a plus
3+ years of previous field service experience, preferred
Vocation or trade school training may be used in lieu of work experience
Military experience is a plus
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move 50 or more pounds
Ability to work indoors and outside (including during inclement weather)
Ability to stand for long periods
Ability to sit and drive a vehicle with extensive travel
Ability to climb, bend, stoop, and reach freely
Must have good hand-eye coordination
Vision correctable to 20/20
