As apart time , nonexemptCPS Solution, LLCSpeech Language Pathologist for Sturgis Hospital's Rehabilitation Department, you are responsible for the administration and direct application of Speech-Language pathology treatment modalities as prescribed by a referring physician. Duties include evaluating, planning, directing, and treatingall patients referred to Speech-Language Pathology. In this role you will perform Modified Barium Swallows for adults as well as assist patients to obtain maximum performance and function in society while learning to live a routine "normal" life within constraints of their disability.
Schedule:This part-time, non-exempt position will work between 20-24 hours per week, or 3 days per week. Rehabilitation Department hours are Monday - Thursday from 8:00am-6:30pm, Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm, and weekends on a patient need basis.
About the Facility: Sturgis Hospital is a 84-bed licensed, acute care facility.Nearly 40 active medical staff members, available within the Sturgis and surrounding communities, represent a wide variety of specialties including Anesthesiology, Family Practice, General Surgery, Gynecology, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Pathology, Pediatrics, Podiatry, Radiology, Urology and Vascular Surgery. Additional specialties are offered through the Hospital's Courtesy, Consulting and Affiliate Medical Staff. These services include Cardiology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Oncology, and Pulmonary medicine.Sturgis, Michigan is centrally located between Chicago, IL and Toledo, OH (both roughly 2 hours), and between Lake Michigan and Lake Erie.CPS Solutions, LLChas partnered with the hospital through our division, CPS Solutions, LLCRehabilitation Services, to manage the day-to-day operations of this department. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.
About the Rehab Department: Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 8:00am-6:30pm,Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm, and weekends on a patient need basis.
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited college in Speech-Language Pathology
Current Michigan Speech Language Pathologist license in good standing
Current BCLS certification
1+ year of experience in speech therapy
Hospital Requirements:
(PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof ofnegativeTB skin test within thelast 12 months
(MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
Varicella -(2)documented doses or A Blood Titer proving immunity
(Flu) Influenza required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
HepB Titer or declination
TDaP vaccine
