The company is currently seeking an experienced Controls Electrical Supervisor.
Responsibilities
The Controls Electrical Supervisor manages the Electrical Group which comprises Controls Engineers and AutoCAD experts specializing in Electrical Designs of Electrical Control Systems including Motor Control Panels (MCPs), Electrical Device Layouts, Power, Drives, I/O, Communication Cabling, etc. You will report to the Department Head ensuring that Electrical Designs are developed and delivered to project teams and end users, meeting schedules and budgets.
Major Areas of Responsibility
Design and depiction of MCPs, Device Layouts, Power, Heat, Drives, I/O, Communication Cabling, etc. required to build, deliver, commission, and modify Baggage Handling Systems.
Development of schedule and coordination with the Project Engineers.
Standardization of electrical products and designs. Documentation for the deployment of electrical products and designs.
Standardization of system architecture; documentation of standards. Review of system architecture on projects.
Standardization of system layouts; documentation of standards. Review of system layouts on projects.
Lead future technology initiatives and development.
Directing and mentoring the Electrical Controls Engineers and AutoCAD Designers. Providing assistance where necessary.
Coordinating the Commissioning Controls Engineers, Software Controls Engineers, and Electrical Controls Engineers with their respective Supervisors to manage engineering assignments.
Identifying, spearheading, and implementing improvement initiatives.
Delegation of responsibilities both on a long term and on a day-to-day basis.
Creatively solving problems to optimize resources, scheduling, and budget.
Coaching team members on project execution and proposing technical solutions for complex problems.
Support proposals and customer inquiries. Estimate new project work.
Basic Knowledge
Engineering and Technology - Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of systems and services.
Project Execution - Knowledge of project management life-cycle from requirements gathering through design and implementation.
English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Customer sites are located throughout the country; the selected candidate for this role will need to travel for meetings, sales support, and commissioning support when necessary. On occasion off-shift work may be necessary to support commissioning efforts.
Education & Experience
BSEE, E.T. or relevant technical degree, or equivalent relevant work experience.
Seven (7) years of experience in industrial automation controls design and commissioning.
Experience managing a project and related people resources.
Scheduling and estimating experience.
Experience with Allen Bradley PLC Programming (ControlLogix), preferred.
Experience within the material handling industry.
Experience with material handling equipment.
Baggage handling experience, preferred.
