Pay for this position is between $22 and $25 per hour depending on licensure, certification, and experience.
Position Summary
As a Clinical Counselor, you play a vital role in conducting assessments, group counseling, and managing one-on-one sessions. This is a great opportunity for both new and experienced professionals seeking growth.
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities
- Foster a welcoming and positive customer service culture for clients, staff, and stakeholders.
- Manage a balanced caseload, focusing on the developmental needs of early recovery clients.
- Provide compassionate counseling for individuals facing substance abuse and mental health challenges.
- Conduct assessments using ASAM criteria to determine appropriate levels of care.
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Motivational Interviewing, DBT, and CBT.
- Facilitate both didactic and process groups for enhanced support.
- Create and implement client-centered treatment and aftercare plans.
- Collaborate with case managers and peer mentors for comprehensive client care.
- Participate in weekly clinical case conferences and supervision meetings.
Education and Experience
Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW), relevant professional licensure (LLMSW/LMSW/LPC), and either a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) certification from MCBAP or the ability to obtain a development plan.
