Quality Management Engineer (Troy, MI, or other unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.) Responsibilities include: Resolution and prevention of manufacturing quality issues including warranty and investigations from JD Powers and Consumer Reports. Work with engineers and managers to achieve quality improvement goals. Work with cross functional teams in root cause analysis, containment, corrective action and service actions for quality and warranty issues. Prioritize warranty data to ensure the team is focused on the top items and bridge communication between engineering, manufacturing, supplier quality and purchasing to ensure the appropriate expertise is engaged in the resolution process. Ensure Lessons Learned are captured and read forward to all vehicle lines. M.S. in Industrial Engineering or closely related and 12 months experience in any related Quality Engineering position. 12 mo experience in: Supplier Quality Management (SQM), Corrective Actions Preventative Actions (CAPA), SPC. Experience or academic coursework in: Root Cause Analysis (RCA) - Shainin, Kepner-Tregoe. Engineering Project Management (EPM) skills including Monitoring Progress and Stratify Business Data. Telecommuting permitted. 10% domestic & international travel. 40 hrs/wk. 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
