Position Summary:
Promote safety 24/7, manage equipment fleet for most cost-effective benefit to the LLC Joint Venture. Work with Project Operations to determine equipment needs, schedules and utilization to best suit the project. Work with the LLC Members on equipment availability from each of their fleets. Lead by example and promote individual responsibility among team members.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Promote and support safety 24/7 to all team members, both maintenance and operations
Develop standard equipment procedures and practices to ensure safe operation within all regulatory agencies' standard for all LLC equipment
Specification of equipment to be rented or purchased for the LLC with approval of the Policy Committee
Provide proper staffing and coordination to administer services to the LLC
Develop relationships with equipment suppliers, rental suppliers and maintenance repair facilities to benefit the LLC goals and objectives
Oversee environmental compliance with Local, State and Federal regulations
Collaborate with Safety Personnel to provide safe practices for equipment and personnel
Search out best practices in the industry through internal or external sources and apply them to become "best in class"
Insure assets that are acquired are of good value and meet the needs of the project
Handle disposal of equipment that is no longer needed by the LLC
Provide direction and support to maintenance personnel onsite
Train, coach and develop direct reports to meet the needs of the project and LLC
Work with the LLC members as needed in relationship to the equipment contributed to the LLC to the benefit of both the member and LLC
Ensure LLC equipment is fiscally responsible to the LLC's goals and objectives
Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of LLC equipment and facilities
Encourage staff to work through obstacles and challenges
Work hours vary as required by the project
Utilize the ERP system provided to monitor equipment costs, utilization, forecasts for all owned and rented equipment
Maintain compliance for the LLC On Road fleet in regard to titling, registration, identification and reporting for all trucks and trailers
Coordinate Equipment Mobilization/demobilization to and from project with LLC Members/Rental agencies
Preform inbound and outbound inspections for all equipment coming to and leaving the project. Note any and all deficiencies, issues or other
Manage workload for all maintenance personnel on site
Required Skills
Skills and Abilities:
Position is considered a field position located on the Construction Site. Time will be split between an office, temporary maintenance facilities or on the project site. In order to access equipment, preform inspections and train others, must be able to:
- Occasionally: walk, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, remain seated and maintain balance wile accessing equipment, both floating and land based. May preform lifting of parts and/or materials of various weights up to 50 lbs.
Required Experience
Education/Experience:
Business degree, Construction Management degree, Equipment related degree, or comparable experience in the field of Equipment Management
