The Role at a Glance
As a Cash Manager, you will work within a team responsible for managing and monitoring LFG's daily cash management transactions and cash forecasting operations in a near real time environment. You will also work closely with LFG's Senior and Investment Management relative to liquidity, cash management and cash investment. Operations include the daily retrieval and reconcilement of previous day bank activity to projections and the movement, realignment, posting and investment of new cash activities to optimize LFG's overall cash position. Processing requires extremely accurate and timely identification of issues impacting current and forecasted cash with proactive validation of variances. You will operate in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment of multiple markets, products, regulations and interfacing systems.
What you'll be doing
Cash and Process Management
Analyzes LFG's cash management processes and cash movement to maximize investment returns, minimize overdraft expenses and optimize bank fees
Proactively validate expected cash and cash projection variances
Determine accurate cash positions for key strategic partners to support investment and liquidity decisions
Resolves cash issues in a timely manner
Assists in the ongoing evaluation and improvement of cash management processes and controls
Interact effectively with the lines of business, Investment and Treasury to facilitate problem resolution, process improvement, and productive customer relationships
Assist in maintaining effective policies, procedures and business continuity plans within the unit
Balance and validate general ledger accounts associated with Cash Management operations
Assist in maintaining the inter-company bank
Participate in Treasury projects involving cash management, banking and investment related activities
Heavy involvement with the Treasury Management System (Quantum) processing, account maintenance, testing, and technical infrastructure as it relates to the end user
Independently prepares standard and required ad hoc reports and answers questions from recipients, focused on proactive insights and value to end customers, including senior management
Makes a positive contribution as demonstrated by making suggestions for improvement and learning new skills, procedures and processes
The position requires a work schedule that correlates to the business dates of the Federal Reserve and Securities Markets which may not align with LFG's holiday schedule. Daily business hours may vary based upon workflow demands

Must-haves:
1 - 3+ years of experience that aligns with the responsibilities for this position
Undergraduate degree or 4+ years of comparable work experience with educational concentration in finance, accounting or business-related field or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience in a similar role in the insurance industry.
Strong comprehension for treasury systems, financial/banking industry and treasury operations.
Knowledge of cash flows from investment vehicles and financial services products.
Knowledge of Excel and other database manipulation software tools
Strong organizational and time management skills
Builds constructive and effective relationships; uses diplomacy and tact.
A demonstrated track record of consistently meeting and/or exceeding performance expectations
Possesses a bias for action and avoids workplace distractions
Drives performance targets to completion
Nice-to-haves:
Knowledge of Long and Short-term Investing as well as cash forecasting a plus
CTP, CPA and/or Financial designations a plus

Pay Range: $53,500 - $92,500
Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln's standard benefits package.
