Site Reliability Engineer/Operations Lead

In the role of SRE/Operations Lead you will aid in developing the design of the Behavioral Threat Assessment and Suicide Risk Assessment applications.
Provide regular support/guidance to project teams on issue resolution and execution.
You will be a problem solver and find innovative solutions to complex issues.

As an SRE Lead consultant, you will play a pivotal role in architecting and implementing a robust Site Reliability Engineering strategy for our business.
You will be responsible for setting up Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) using cutting-edge observability and monitoring tools.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems, with a strong focus on performance optimization and incident response.
Qualifications
Required Education and Work Experience
At least 3 years of experience in the tech sector, and at least 2 years of management experience.
Proven experience in architecting and implementing SRE practices in complex, distributed systems.
Proficiency in cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and preferably Jenkins (or similar software)
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Agile/Scrum certification or experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Work Experience
Provide observability and monitoring into our various sites.
Define and implement SLAs/SLOs to ensure the reliability and performance of critical business applications.
Leverage cloud services on Azure to enhance the resilience and efficiency of our infrastructure.
Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python and Java for scripting, automation, and creating custom monitoring solutions.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate SRE principles into the CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth and reliable software delivery.
Work with teams to ensure that SRE practices align with development cycles and project timelines, and help bring some teams up to speed with best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, implement best practices, and drive continuous optimization.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication and client interfacing skills.
Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required up to 25%.

Compensation
Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $75,000 - $85,000 and a potential discretionary bonus of up to 10%. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.
