In this position...
Subject matter expert on Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to facilitate deployment of electrified transmissions, power units, eBeams and components.
What you'll do...
Be the subject matter expert on MBSE and facilitate deployment on electrified transmissions, power units, eBeams and components.
Focus on bringing MBSE to mechanical systems, considering packaging compatibility, clearances and moving parts.
Certify system level DFMEAs for electrified transmissions and power units in collaboration with technical experts and technical leaders.
Provide tips and techniques to responsible Owner for the creation and maintenance of the Core Model-Based Systems Engineering artifacts.
Support technical experts and technical leaders on Systems Models sign-off.
Coach and guide the team on requirements engineering and adoption of INCOSE standards including version control.
Coach and guide the team on creating sysML requirement models and diagrams with traceability and verification.
Institutionalize MBSE with in UnSE and facilitate cross functional system issue resolution.
Stay abreast of latest industry practices and standards, e.g., INCOSE, ISO15288:2023.
You'll have...
Master's degree in Engineering (Systems, Product Development, Electrical, Mechanical).
Minimum of 10 years of industry experience with at least 6 years' experience in MBSE including building models.
2 years of systems engineering application experience in the automotive industry.
Even better, you may have...
Certifications from INCOSE and/or OMG in systems engineering/MBSE modeling preferred.
Knowledge of systems thinking, systems engineering principles and methods, and application of these in model-based environments.
Knowledge and experience in Ford Engineering processes with a demonstrated willingness to and success in challenging redundant, obsolete, or non-value-added deliverables / tasks.
Knowledge and experience in application of systems and quality tools and methods, e.g., Requirements, FMA, Risk management, reliability, six-sigma, and lean toolkits, in a model-based environment.
Ability to lead and align collections of people that do not directly report to this position, especially multi-disciplinary teams.
