About the role
Under limited direction, performs full scope lease audits including review, comparison and analysis of operating expense and tax reconciliations and Base Rents. Focuses on day-to-day operations and maintains relationships with internal and external customers to ensure client service needs are met. Collaborates with lease administration and audit team members to identify, negotiate, and recoup potential savings for client.
What you'll do
Essential duties and responsibilities
Performs full scope audits including comprehensive review, comparison, and analysis of operating expense and tax reconciliation statements received from landlords, base rent, and other financial considerations within the lease to ensure expenses charged to client are in compliance with lease clauses. Requests additional information, assesses materiality, and recommends action for additional audit and recovery.
Prepares reports of audit findings and handles negotiation of audit findings with clients and their landlords to ensure accurate credits and appropriate charges are made.
Tracks audit savings by client and verifies that all savings have been accurately recorded.
Acts as single-point-of-contact with client for all service delivery concerns. Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with clients, their landlords and tenants.
Acts as a team lead including providing workflow direction to co-workers and providing account supervision.
Conducts financial invoice services, including uploading and processing for payment operating expense statements, direct expense charges, and annual budgets in accordance with required accounting principles (GAAP, TAX, CASH, etc.).
Ensures all relevant data related to the financial invoice services are accurately entered in the client lease administration database.
Coordinates with the Lease Audit team to ensure reconciliations and other data is accurately and timely routed to the team for review Resolves critical issues for clients by researching and gathering information about payment transactions, lease terms and other relevant items.
Establishes and maintains working relationship with clients and/or landlords. Performs other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.

Education and experience
Bachelor's Degree preferred with an emphasis in accounting or finance. 4 to 6 years demonstrated experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Communication skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
Financial knowledge
Requires sophisticated knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.
Reasoning ability
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires sophisticated analytical and quantitative skills. · CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Senior Lease Auditor- Remote position is $80,000.00 annually or $38.46 per hour and the maximum salary for the Senior Lease Auditor- Remote position is $90,000.00 annually or $43.26 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
