The role of the Sr. IT Infrastructure employee will cover multiple areas within the IT Infrastructure group. The role will provide support for RENK America's computer infrastructure across Architecture, Network and Telecommunications, Systems Administration, and IT Security. General knowledge across all areas is required. In depth knowledge in all areas is not required but in depth knowledge in multiple areas is expected.
This role will be responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of hardware and software across servers and telecommunications equipment. They will work closely with the IT leadership at RENK America and RENK Group, external consultants, and the participating businesses to develop architecture solutions across the IT Architecture, LAN \ WAN, and IT Security. Will provide support for Data Center and existing hardware and software.
Supports/troubleshoots server and network issues across multiple platforms and protocols (IP and VOIP). Safeguards the network against unauthorized infiltration, modification, destruction, or disclosure. Manages the company's firewalls, vlans, and intrusion detection systems as required. Monitors system performance, diagnoses and correct issues with the goal of achieving maximum system uptime. Researches, evaluates, tests, and recommends purchases of software and hardware to keep systems that are current with changing technologies and consistent with the organization's short and long term objectives across the areas of responsibility. Develops and implements policies and procedures related to IT infrastructure support.
Essential Functions:
Work with the IT Management to establish long range and short range Infrastructure roadmaps that support business direction.
Provide leadership, project management, configure, install, support, and administer IT infrastructure components in a multi-operating system server, Ethernet network, VoIP, and Windows desktop environment.
Windows server administration
Active directory and domain administration
Configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and overall support of multiple VMware environments
Cisco network switch and router configuration and support DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, NFS, FTP, and SMTP
Data backup/recovery and offsite storage management
Citrix XenApp administration including Citrix NetScaler remote access
SAN and file storage configuration and administration
Support and assist IT customers including PC setup and deployment, desktop support, Help Desk, end point security, and troubleshooting.
Assist and lead in the development and establishment of policies, procedures, and standards related to IT infrastructure.
Prepare complete and accurate project update reports, project logs, and ensures accurate and complete documentation of all new and existing systems.
Install and configure server hardware and software.
Follow all systems security procedures, including Change Management and company controls.
Level (L4-L5) and pay range will be commensurate with experience.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relative experience or Graduate Degree and minumum of 4 years prior related experience. Substitution of additional relevant education and experience for stated qualifications may be considered.
Extension knowledge of systems and infrastructure support and administration experience in a Windows environment required.
Experience administering Cisco switches and routers required.
Experience configuring and managing virtual servers in a VMware environment required.
Experience administering a Citrix XenApp environment including Citrix NetScaler appliances
Firewall knowledge preferred.
