Ast Instructor/Instructor/Ast Professor - Fixed Term
The Department of Advertising + Public Relations values diversity of background, experience, teaching and research perspectives. We are seeking candidates who are dynamic and engaging in the classroom as an instructor of record. The ideal candidate will have education and experience that allows them to successfully teach a range of advertising and/or public relations courses. The department has ongoing needs for instructors who can teach any or all of the following focus areas: writing for advertising careers; advertising copywriting; advertising creative for all media types; advertising technologies, including programmatic, artificial intelligence and other existing and emerging platforms; writing and content creation for public relations; social media management; public relations strategy; strategic communication ethics; theories of advertising, public relations and advertising; and research methods for advertising and public relations. In addition, experience in higher education teaching or supervision/mentoring of college level interns is preferred.
Qualified candidates will have a degree in advertising, public relations, journalism, marketing, or related field. Specific rank will depend on the candidate's highest degree (open rank). Please see minimum qualifications for details. Salary and rank are commensurate with experience.
