Position Summary: To provide safe, quality childcare of infants and preschool aged children.
Essential Responsibilities:
Ensure a safe environment for infant and preschool children in the nursery.
Supervise the volunteers that are assigned to assist.
Check in and out the children so they are safely returned to their appropriate parents or guardians.
Monitor the toys and resources, updating the Corps Officers if new items are needed and discarding of old/dangerous items.
Ensure the nursery space is cleaned at the end of each shift.
Document injuries or issues as they arise, properly informing parents and Corps Officers.
Maintain and report statistics for all community center activities.
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
High school diploma / GED; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Experience working with children
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Ability to interact with different personality types
Energetic personality
Ability to work varied shifts, to include Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday as needed
Computer Skills:
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
Basic knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint
Willingness to learn new software as needed
Certificates and Licenses:
Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed
